160th Celebration Birthday Picnic

Saturday September 12 was a beautiful day to celebrate
Wayne Township’s 160th
Birthday and to enjoy visiting with family, friends and
neighbors. This was possible
through the generous donations of so many people and the
hard work of our township
coordinator Tootie Welsh.
Thanks to the Ellwood City Borough for donating the use
of the Ewing Park facilities.
Jared Gibbons presented the Wayne Township supervisor
Dennis Hall with a citation
Commemorating our 160th year, which he accepted on
behalf of the Wayne Township
residents.
Our guest speaker was Joshua Lamancusa, Democratic
candidate for District
Attorney in the November elections. Residents were
enthusiastic with the hope of his
help in cleaning up our community of drug dealers.
We would like to thank Jerry Cartwright for taking the
time to attend our picnic. And
a personal thank you to Dom Viccari for the floral
arrangement.

Manufacturing Co. Inc. for the donation of their
fireworks display.
Jim Spielvogel won the 50/50 raffle. Gift certificates
were won by the following:

certificate from Loccisano’s for
being the oldest resident in attendance. Audrey and Rich

certificate from Loccisano’s for having made the first
reservation for our picnic.
